Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to The Sandy Feet Sea Front – I mean, the name sounds almost too casual for a 4-star place, right? But you know what, sometimes the best surprises come from places that don’t try too hard to impress you with fancy names. This spot on El Gouna 1 Road absolutely nailed that balance between relaxed and refined that’s actually pretty hard to find along the Red Sea coast.

The thing about El Gouna is that it’s not your typical Egyptian resort town – it’s more like someone took a Mediterranean village and plopped it down by the Red Sea, with all these winding lagoons and bridges connecting different islands. The Sandy Feet sits right where you want to be, close enough to the main Marina area that you can easily walk to the restaurants and bars (honestly, about a 10-minute stroll), but far enough that you’re not dealing with the late-night party noise. I actually appreciated that they kept the lobby pretty understated – no massive chandeliers or marble everywhere, just clean lines and these gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the water perfectly. The staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing too, which… well, let’s just say that’s not always a given in resort areas.

What really sold me on this place was how they handled the beachfront situation. Instead of cramming every inch with loungers like most places do, they actually left breathing room – you can walk along the water without feeling like you’re navigating an obstacle course. The sand isn’t the powdery white stuff you see in brochures (this is the Red Sea, after all), but it’s clean and the water entry is gradual, which is perfect if you’re not a strong swimmer. The coral reefs are close enough for decent snorkeling right off the beach, though honestly, if you’re serious about diving, you’ll still want to book one of the boat trips that leave from the main marina. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM when families start claiming spots, but early morning and late afternoon are pretty peaceful – I found myself grabbing coffee and just sitting by the water before most people were even awake. One small thing that bugged me was the Wi-Fi could be spotty near the beach (probably all those concrete sea walls interfering), but it worked fine in the rooms and lobby. The restaurant food was actually better than I expected – they do this grilled fish that’s clearly caught locally, and their Egyptian breakfast spread had all the real stuff, not just the tourist-friendly versions. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between authentic Egyptian hospitality and modern comfort without the Vegas-style resort madness, this place really delivers.

  The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The bed was cozy, and the peaceful atmosphere made for a relaxing stay. The location was excellent, being close to everything in El Gouna. The lagoon view, while not a sea view, was still beautiful and serene. A special thanks to Amira, the Manager of Guest Experience, whose warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable.
  
  What could be improved: I missed having a microwave in the kitchen. Also, the listing mentioned a "sea view," but it’s actually a lagoon view, and you can't swim in the lagoon.
