You know what caught me off guard about The Seafront Magical Loft? The name sounds a bit over-the-top, honestly, but once you’re there on El Gouna 2 Road, it actually makes sense. I mean, El Gouna itself is this sort of fantastical resort town that feels like someone dropped a Mediterranean village into the Red Sea coast, so “magical” isn’t really overselling it. The loft sits right in the thick of things – you can walk to the marina in about five minutes, and honestly, that’s where you’ll probably end up most evenings anyway, watching the boats come in while nursing a beer.

The place itself is refreshingly unpretentious for a 3-star spot. Sure, it’s not going to blow you away with marble lobbies or anything, but the owners clearly put thought into the details that actually matter. The loft has this breezy, lived-in feel – kind of like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have great taste and lives near the water. The whole setup works particularly well if you’re planning to spend your days diving or kite surfing (El Gouna’s basically the kite surfing capital of Egypt, in case you didn’t know). You can rinse off your gear easily, and there’s enough space to spread everything out to dry. The Wi-Fi actually works too, which – let’s be real – isn’t always a given in smaller Egyptian coastal spots.

What really sealed it for me was the evening routine you naturally fall into there. After the day-trippers head back to Hurghada (about 25 minutes south), El Gouna gets this lovely quiet buzz. You can hear the call to prayer echoing across the lagoons, mixed with the clinking of glasses from the waterfront restaurants. The loft’s position means you get these sounds without the chaos – close enough to feel connected to the town’s rhythm, but far enough from the main club strip that you can actually sleep. And honestly, for the price point and that 8.8 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises. It’s not trying to be the Four Seasons, but it nails that sweet spot of comfortable, authentic, and well-located. Perfect base camp for exploring the Red Sea without breaking the bank or feeling like you’re staying in a soulless resort bubble.

  We enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal, overlooking the lake and the pool with access to the beach , and just a two-minute walk to the marina. The place was very clean with all the amenities you need and more. There was even a Bluetooth speaker! Nice touch! The response was very prompt from the owner. Really nothing to complain about. Would definitely recommend it.

  What could be improved: I liked the whole studio. It was just not clear that the other bed was a mezzanine. As I thought it was 2 bedrooms. But it's clever the owner used the double height space to create an extra bed. It is very recommended for families.

  The apartment was so cute and thoughtfully designed. The terrace was absolutely incredible, the location was fantastic, shops, restaurants, and different beaches were either walking distance or easily accessible with a toktok. The hosts were very responsive as well.

  Fantastic terrace south facing. Perfect location for all the restaurants in under 2 minute walk. Great communication. Pretty well equipped in the kitchen although no proper oven just microwave and hob. Walk from the terrace straight to beach. Great shower heat and power. Everything very close including supermarkets and restaurants and bars. Recommend so many it’s tricky to eat at the apartment as the way Kurt of food offering I so good in el gonna.
  
  What could be improved: The bed was comfy but small. Not really a 2 bed apartment as second bedroom through main bedroom up steep spiral stairs. Could do with an upgrade ie refresh of furniture but to be honest we were outside most of the day enjoying the terrace overlooking the lagoon.

  What could be improved: It's not a 2 bedroom, it's a one bedroom with internal stairs that are not comfortable to go up or down. There is no privacy since you have to pass by the downstairs bed to reach the upper bed.

  Heel mooie locatie, met het zuidelijk gericht terras, het directe zicht op het water, én in de buurt van de haven.. Ook heel snelle en efficiënte manier van reageren van de host…
  
  What could be improved: De twee slaapkamers liggen boven mekaar.. geluidsgewijs niet helemaal gescheiden, en de bovenste wat moeilijk te bereiken..

  Die Lage ist sehr schön. Der Ausblick traumhaft. Die Terrasse ist der perfekte Aufenthaltsort. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Amira, unser Guest Relation Manager, war sehr lieb und engagiert.
  
  What could be improved: 14 Tage lang nicht genügend heißes oder warmes Wasser zum Duschen. Hat nicht einmal für eine Person nur zum Haare waschen gereicht, geschweige denn zum Duschen (max. vier Minuten, dann wieder kalt).
  Trotz mehrmaliger Prüfung vor Ort konnte dem nicht Abhilfe geschaffen werden. Also Katzenwäsche 14 Tage lang anstelle von Duschen. Nicht so schön. Geschirr spülen war auch nur mit kaltem Wasser möglich, außer man ließ das heiße Wasser für fünf Minuten laufen. So lange dauerte es, bis dann kurzzeitig heißes Wasser kam ➡️ Verschwendung von Wasser (dasselbe auch beim Duschen natürlich).
  Nach zwei Tagen dann der Ablauf im Spülbecken verstopft. Nachdem ein Mitarbeiter es nicht lösen konnte, musste der Klempner her. Zum Glück konnte er die Verstopfung auflösen.
  Im Kühlschrank war das oberste Fach komplett dicht mit Eis, konnte also nicht genutzt werden.
  Die Toilettenbürste und das Behältnis waren ekelhaft verdreckt. Wir haben erstmal eine neue gekauft auf eigene Kosten. Als wir es erwähnt haben, wurde uns das Geld netterweise erstattet.
  Die Schubladen der Kommode für die Kleider sind teilweise kaputt.
  Bei einigen Lampen waren die Glühbirnen kaputt. Wir mussten erstmal um Ersatz anfragen.
  Die FeWo machte den Eindruck, als ob der Zustand der Ferienwohnung schon länger nicht mehr überprüft wurde.
  Das Bad und die Küche sind insgesamt in die Jahre gekommen und bedürften hier und da einer Erneuerung.
  Es gibt in dieser FeWo tatsächlich auch keine zwei Schlafzimmer. Das zweite Doppelbett ist auf einer Etage über dem unteren Doppelbett. Zu diesem führt eine extrem steile mit sehr schmalen Stufen versehene Eisentreppe. Das Ganze hat einen gewissen Charme, ist aber nicht ungefährlich!!
