Okay, so The View Hurghada caught me off guard – in a good way, mostly. I mean, you see “2 bedrooms” and automatically think family resort vibes, but this place actually has more of a sophisticated apartment feel than I expected. It’s tucked away in this quieter part of Hurghada where you’re not constantly dodging tour groups, which honestly was a relief after dealing with the chaos around the main hotel strip.

The thing that really gets you is – well, they weren’t kidding about the name. The Red Sea views from the upper floors are genuinely stunning, especially during that golden hour when the water looks like liquid copper. I spent way too much time on the balcony with my morning coffee, watching the dive boats head out toward the reef sites. The rooms themselves are spacious (those two bedrooms actually feel like proper bedrooms, not glorified closets), and the kitchen setup is pretty decent if you’re planning to grab some of that amazing Egyptian produce from the local markets. You know what surprised me? The air conditioning actually works consistently – sounds basic, but if you’ve stayed in Egyptian hotels before, you’ll appreciate that detail.

Here’s the thing though – it’s a 5-star property with a 7-out-of-10 rating, and honestly, that tracks. The service can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on who’s working, and the Wi-Fi gets sketchy during peak hours when everyone’s trying to upload their underwater photos. But the location more than makes up for it. You’re close enough to walk to some decent restaurants (there’s this little place serving incredible koshari about ten minutes away), but far enough from the main tourist madness that you can actually hear the waves at night instead of party music. The pool area gets busy around midday, but if you’re an early riser or prefer evening swims, it’s pretty peaceful. I’d definitely stay here again – it’s one of those places where the minor imperfections somehow make it feel more authentic, you know? Plus, for the price point and the amount of space you get, especially if you’re traveling with family or friends, it’s actually solid value for Hurghada.
