You know what really struck me about Three Corners Ocean View when I first walked into the lobby? The immediate sense that this place actually gets what adults want from a Red Sea getaway. I mean, Abu Tig Marina is already one of El Gouna’s more sophisticated spots – think upscale restaurants and that distinctly Mediterranean vibe that somehow works perfectly in Egypt – but this hotel manages to feel both relaxed and polished without trying too hard.

The location is honestly pretty brilliant. You’re right on the marina, so you can literally watch the boats come and go while having your morning coffee, but you’re also tucked away enough that you don’t get the chaos that sometimes comes with Hurghada’s busier hotel strips. The shuttle to the beach runs regularly (and actually shows up on time, which isn’t always a given in this part of Egypt), though I found myself spending more time by the pool than I expected. There’s something about the way they’ve designed the pool area – it catches this perfect breeze in the late afternoon, and the bar service is spot-on without being pushy. The staff seem to remember your drink order by day two, which is a nice touch.

What really sets this place apart, honestly, is how they’ve nailed the adults-only concept without making it feel stuffy or pretentious. The rooms are spacious – I had one of the marina-view ones and could actually open the balcony doors at night without worrying about noise, since the marina settles down pretty early. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, this matters more than you think in summer), and they’ve got those little details right – decent water pressure, blackout curtains that actually block light, and Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes. The breakfast spread is surprisingly good too, with proper coffee and fresh local fruits alongside the usual international options. I particularly liked that they had Egyptian specialties that were clearly made by someone who knew what they were doing, not just tourist versions.

The 8.9 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in El Gouna – that’s more the Four Seasons territory – but it delivers consistently on the things that actually matter when you’re looking to unwind. The dive center partnerships are solid if you’re into that (the Red Sea diving here is genuinely world-class), and the spa is small but effective for when you’ve had too much sun. Plus, being in Abu Tig means you can walk to some excellent restaurants – Mokai and The Lodge are both right there – without dealing with taxis or hotel transfers. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself extending your stay if you can swing it, which honestly says more about a hotel than any formal review ever could.

  Excellent location on the marina. Wonderful breakfast. Spacious, clean rooms. Very friendly and supportive staff. Lovely terrace overlooking the lagoon. A shuttle boat drives guests for free to the beach every hour.
