The thing about CYAN is that it’s tucked away from the main Marina action, which I mean, could be a downside if you want to stumble back from Abu Tig at 2 AM. But honestly? It’s perfect if you’re traveling with family or a group and want some actual space to breathe. The townhouse setup gives everyone their own corner – three proper bedrooms, which is rare in El Gouna unless you’re dropping serious cash. I loved that you could hear the wind through the lagoons at night instead of party music (though don’t worry, downtown is maybe a 10-minute walk when you do want that scene).

What really got me was how they’ve set up the place. The kitchen actually works – I mean really works, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. We cooked breakfast most mornings, grabbed fresh stuff from the local market near the Marina, and it felt more like staying at a friend’s place than a rental. The living area opens up nicely, and there’s this little outdoor space where you can sit with coffee and watch El Gouna wake up. You know what I noticed? The Wi-Fi is solid throughout – crucial if you’re trying to work remotely or keep the kids entertained during the afternoon heat.

The management company clearly knows what they’re doing here. Check-in was smooth, they actually answered their phones when we had questions, and the place was spotless when we arrived. I’ve been burned before by places that look great in photos but feel sketchy in person, so I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail. Little things like proper blackout curtains (trust me, you want these when the sun rises at 5 AM), decent water pressure, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing.

Here’s the honest truth – El Gouna can feel a bit artificial sometimes, all planned and perfect. But staying in CYAN, especially in a residential setup like this, gives you more of a local rhythm. You’ll see Egyptian families on weekend getaways, long-term expats walking their dogs, kids playing football in the small squares. It’s still touristy, obviously, but it feels more… real, I guess.

The 9-star rating makes sense once you factor in the value. For what you pay, getting three bedrooms, a proper kitchen, and a quiet location that’s still walking distance to everything? Yeah, that’s pretty solid. I’d definitely book this again, especially if I was coming with friends or family. Solo travelers might find it too much space, but for groups, it hits that sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment comfort.
