Honestly, when I first pulled up to TUI MAGIC LIFE Kalawy, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s about 30 kilometers down that dusty Safaga-El Quseir road from Hurghada, and you know how these all-inclusive places can be hit or miss. But this one actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The thing about this stretch of Red Sea coast is that once you get away from the main Hurghada chaos, the water gets incredibly clear – and Kalawy sits right in one of those sweet spots where the reef comes close to shore. I spent most mornings just floating around the hotel’s beach area watching parrotfish do their thing, which sounds cheesy but honestly beats fighting crowds at the more central resorts. The staff here seem to genuinely know what they’re doing too, not just going through the motions like at some places. Check-in was smooth (they had my room ready even though I arrived early), and the guy at the dive center – Ahmed, I think – actually remembered my certification level from day one instead of asking me to show my card every single time.

What really sets this place apart though is how they’ve managed to keep that relaxed vibe without sacrificing quality. The food is surprisingly varied for an all-inclusive – I mean, you’ve got your standard buffet situation, but the Egyptian nights were legit, and whoever’s running the grill by the pool knows their way around fresh fish. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase, and mine had this massive balcony overlooking the water where I’d sit with coffee in the mornings before the heat kicked in. Fair warning though – if you’re not into the whole organized activities thing, some of the poolside entertainment can get a bit loud around 3 PM, but it dies down by dinner. The location means you’re definitely committed to staying put or taking their shuttle into town, but that’s honestly part of the appeal. Sometimes you just want to disconnect from the Hurghada madness and pretend the biggest decision of your day is whether to snorkel before or after lunch. With a 9.1 rating, it’s clear I’m not the only one who thinks they’ve got the formula right here.

  I recently had the pleasure of staying at the TUI Magic Life for the third time, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience once again. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way,

  – *Beach and Pools*: The hotel boasts a private beach with crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming safely ,
  I enjoyed volleyball, football and archery range. , from pool parties to sports tournaments.
  – *Dining*: The hotel's all-inclusive dining options were impressive, with multiple restaurants serving delicious meals, from traditional dishes to healthy eating options.

  The reef for snorkeling and diving, the activities for the whole family, the food, the shows! Everything really. It is an active hotel with something for everyone and all ages.
  We loved the windsurf, waterpolo, aerobic classes, the gym is also great. And my daughter really liked the kids club. Everyone is nice in the hotel and they don’t push to sell you tours and activities.
  
  What could be improved: There were too many cats…
  The room cards did not work well and we often had to go back to reception to code them again which means walking 1/2 a km in such big hotel
