Hotel Description
So here’s the thing about Villa 38 at White Villas – I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in El Gouna, honestly. But this spot completely caught me off guard in the best way possible. It’s tucked away in Phase 5 of the White Villas complex, which means you’re far enough from the main tourist chaos but still close enough to walk to everything that matters. The villa itself is massive – six proper bedrooms, which sounds almost ridiculous until you’re there with a big group and everyone actually has their own space.
What really struck me was how thoughtfully laid out everything is. You know how some vacation rentals feel like someone just threw furniture at the walls? Not here. The common areas flow naturally, and there’s this great covered terrace where we ended up spending most evenings. The kitchen is actually functional too – I mean, we cooked real meals there, not just instant noodles. The bedrooms are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over each other’s luggage, and the air conditioning works properly (which, let’s be real, is crucial in that heat). I should mention the pool situation – it’s shared with the complex, but it never felt crowded when we were there in March.
Location-wise, you’re about a ten-minute walk from Abu Tig Marina, which is where all the good restaurants and nightlife happen. The path is well-lit and safe, though I’d still grab a golf cart ride back late at night just because it’s fun and cheap. What I loved most was having access to El Gouna’s lagoons without dealing with hotel crowds – you can literally walk to the water in five minutes. The villa management was surprisingly responsive too; when our internet went wonky (it happens), they sorted it out the same day. Honestly, for the price point and that perfect 10 rating, it makes total sense. It’s not luxury in the marble-and-gold sense, but it’s comfort and space and privacy, which sometimes matters more. Plus, having six bedrooms means you can split costs with friends and end up paying less than you would for cramped hotel rooms – and you get that whole villa experience with your own entrance and parking spots right outside.
