I stumbled across this gem in El Gouna’s White Apartments phase 4 – and let me tell you, finding unit 6B01 was a bit of an adventure itself (the building numbers aren’t super obvious from the street, so give yourself extra time on arrival day).

What really won me over was stepping onto that private terrace and actually seeing both the garden and lagoon views they promise. I mean, you get these places that oversell their “water views” and you’re squinting through palm trees trying to spot a sliver of blue, but here? The lagoon is right there, and the garden isn’t just some sad patch of grass – there are these established trees that give real shade during those brutal afternoon hours. The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile hotel-room clean, which I actually prefer. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab supplies from the nearby Abu Tig Marina area (about a 10-minute walk, and honestly a pleasant one if you’re not hauling heavy groceries). The AC works great – crucial in Hurghada’s heat – and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly solid for Egypt, though it did get sketchy during peak evening hours when everyone’s streaming.

Here’s the thing about El Gouna that you might not realize until you’re there: it’s this planned resort town that somehow doesn’t feel completely artificial. The White Apartments complex sits in a sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to restaurants and the marina, but far enough from the main hotel strips that you’re not dealing with constant tour bus noise. I spent most mornings on that terrace with coffee, watching the ibises wade around the lagoon edges – there’s something genuinely peaceful about it that you don’t expect from a 3-star place. The building itself shows a bit of wear (this isn’t brand-new construction), but it’s well-maintained, and parking was never an issue, which can’t be said for everywhere in El Gouna. What impressed me most was how the space actually felt like a home base rather than just a place to crash between activities. That 8.9 rating starts making sense when you realize you’re getting genuine comfort and those lagoon views at a price point that won’t destroy your travel budget – and in a spot where you can easily explore El Gouna’s unique vibe without feeling like you’re stuck in a resort bubble.
