You know what caught me off guard about Villa Mubarak 6? It’s actually got this surprisingly homey vibe that you don’t always get with hotels in Hurghada. I mean, the name sounds pretty formal, but when you roll up to this place, it feels more like staying at someone’s well-kept family compound than your typical tourist trap.

The location is honestly the real winner here – you’re tucked away in this quieter residential area but still close enough to walk to Magawish Bay when you want that proper Red Sea experience. I spent most mornings walking over there with my snorkel gear, and it’s maybe a 10-minute stroll through some local streets where you’ll actually see how people live in Hurghada, not just the resort bubble. The beach at Magawish isn’t as crowded as the main hotel strips either, which was a pleasant surprise. You’ll hear the call to prayer drifting over in the evenings, and there’s something really peaceful about that rhythm when you’re sitting on the villa’s terrace with a tea.

Now, this isn’t luxury by any stretch – it’s a solid 3-star spot that delivers exactly what it promises. The rooms are clean and functional, with that slightly dated but comfortable feel you get at family-run places. Air conditioning works well (crucial in summer, obviously), and I never had issues with hot water, which honestly puts it ahead of some pricier places I’ve stayed along the coast. The staff genuinely seem to care about making sure you’re sorted, and they’ll help arrange trips or taxis without the pushy sales pitch you sometimes get. Parking was never an issue, which is actually a big deal if you’re planning to rent a car and explore beyond Hurghada proper.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’re far enough from the main tourist drag that you won’t have drunk Europeans stumbling past your window at 3 AM, but you can still catch a taxi or walk to restaurants without major hassle. There’s this little local café about five minutes away where the owner makes incredible ful medames for breakfast, and honestly, that became my daily ritual instead of eating at the hotel. The villa staff actually recommended it to me, which tells you something about how they approach hospitality – they want you to have a good experience, not just spend money on-site.

The 7.5 rating feels about right to me. It’s not going to blow your mind with fancy amenities, but for the price point, you’re getting genuine comfort and a slice of authentic Hurghada life. If you’re the type who wants to be right in the thick of the resort action, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you prefer having a peaceful base where you can actually get some sleep and venture out on your own terms, Villa Mubarak 6 does the job really well. Plus, being close to Magawish means you’ve got easy access to some of the better diving and snorkeling spots without paying resort prices for boat trips.

  Väldigt fint och rymligt hus! Vi trivdes jättebra under vår vistelse. Huset ligger utanför turistområdena (det visste vi innan) men man tar sig snabbt överallt med superbillig uber eller taxi. Vi använde inte köket så mycket då vi bara beställde hem mat men det fanns det man behövde vad jag kunde se. Poolen närmast vårt hus var jättefin. På kort promenadavstånd finns mataffär, ett café, affär för alkohol och apotek. Jag rekommenderar att hyra huset för er som vill ha en lugn skön plats utanför turistmyllret men ändå nära till allt. Och jättekul med biljard!
  
  What could be improved: Se till att det finns batterier i kontrollerna till AC och toalettpapper i huset när nya gäster kommer. Och bara en av tre köer till biljardbordet fungerade. Men dom är lätta att laga med lim.
