Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Vlasta Apartment ČR” in Hurghada, I was scratching my head about the Czech connection. But you know what? Sometimes the most interesting places are the ones that don’t fit neat categories, and this little spot in El Hadaba is exactly that kind of pleasant surprise.

The thing about El Hadaba is that it’s actually one of the quieter neighborhoods in Hurghada – you’re away from the chaos of Sekalla and the resort strip, but still close enough that you can hop in a taxi and be at the marina or the old town souks in maybe fifteen minutes. I mean, the address might look a bit generic online, but once you’re there, you realize you’ve landed in this sort of residential pocket where actual Egyptians live alongside long-term expats (hence the Czech name, I’m guessing). The apartment itself feels more like staying at someone’s well-maintained second home rather than a typical hotel room. There’s this lived-in comfort that you just don’t get at the big resorts – proper kitchen setup, decent Wi-Fi that actually works when you need to video call home, and honestly, the kind of attention to detail that explains why it’s pulling a 9.7 rating despite being a 3-star place.

What really got me was how the owner – or whoever manages it – seems to actually understand what travelers need versus what hotels think they need. The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, there’s enough hot water for a proper shower (you’d be surprised how many places mess this up), and the beds are comfortable enough that you’re not counting springs. The kitchen has real coffee, not those tiny packets of instant stuff, and there’s enough fridge space for more than just a water bottle. Small things, sure, but they add up when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The neighborhood itself is pretty walkable during the day – there’s a decent little grocery store maybe five minutes away, and you’ll find a few local restaurants where the Egyptian families go, which means better food and way better prices than the tourist spots. Evenings are genuinely peaceful here, which is either perfect if you want to decompress, or maybe a bit too quiet if you’re looking for nightlife within stumbling distance. But honestly, after dealing with the intensity of exploring Hurghada during the day – the heat, the haggling, the general sensory overload – coming back to this calm little bubble feels pretty ideal. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve found something that other travelers haven’t quite discovered yet.

  It is a nice, well equipped apartment. The owner is very responsive. You can walk 5-10 min to coffees, beaches, restaurants, big shops and there is also a local mini shop in next building for water etc. Uber and food orders work well here too.
  
  What could be improved: It is on the first floor, if you like having open the windows it can get noisy evenings with the movement on the street, but the nearby road is not disturbing.
  I couldn’t really make the wifi work, even if there is a separate rooter for the flat, it was very slow. However I got good connection for my local data card.

  I really enjoyed my stay at Vlasta apartment. It is beautifully decorated, quiet, sparkling clean and pleasantly warm during winter. The apartment is equipped with new, modern furniture, king size bed with comfortable mattress, plenty of storage space and balcony with outdoor furniture. The kitchen is equipped with washing machine, big fridge and everything needed for cooking, toaster, kettle, dishes, utensils and pots. Wifi was reliable and fast which is important for me as I work online. The communication with Vlasta was excellent as she always quickly replied to my messages. It is next to the shop, 4 min walk to Gold's gym, 5 min walk to Sheraton road and 10 min walk to Orange beach. I gladly recommend this apartment to other guests and will definitely stay here again when I am back in Hurghada.
