You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Wavesong Whispers – honestly, the name alone made me think it might be one of those overpromising, under-delivering places. But walking into this flat on Alahyaa street, I was actually pleasantly surprised. The sea view hits you right away, and I mean properly hits you – not some sliver of blue you need to crane your neck to see. From the main room, you’re looking straight out at the Red Sea, and if you time it right (early morning is best, trust me), you’ll catch that perfect light bouncing off the water that makes your phone photos look like you hired a professional photographer.

The location is pretty smart, actually. Being near the Alkarma hotel means you’re close enough to the action in Hurghada without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos. I found myself walking to nearby restaurants and shops easily enough, but when I wanted to just chill and listen to the waves – which you can hear clearly from the flat, hence the name I guess – it felt properly peaceful. The street itself is relatively quiet, though you’ll get the occasional taxi honking (it’s Egypt, after all), and parking wasn’t the nightmare I expected it to be. Check-in was straightforward, no drama there, which honestly counts for a lot when you’ve been traveling all day.

What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that travel websites never tell you about. The flat actually feels lived-in rather than sterile – there’s decent water pressure in the shower, the air conditioning works without sounding like a helicopter landing, and the Wi-Fi is reliable enough for video calls back home. Sure, it’s a 3-star place so don’t expect marble everything, but the basics are solid and the price point makes total sense for what you’re getting. The sea view alone would cost you double at some of the flashier resorts down the coast. I spent most evenings just sitting by the window with a coffee, watching the boats come in – there’s something about that rhythm that’s genuinely relaxing. If you’re the type who needs constant entertainment and room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a clean, comfortable base with an incredible view and don’t mind a slightly more independent travel experience, Wavesong Whispers delivers on its promise without breaking the bank.

  Great pleasure to stay here with this so pleasant extra helpful owner. Apartments located in a very calm environment, just 400 m from the sea, with 2 great swimming pool in compound inside. Flat is fully equipped for life , has its own kitchen with all the stuff, a lot of towels and good comfortable sofa for sleeping. Owner is super-nice, help us in all questions about organisation of stay, even change old tap for us and fixed detail for my moms wheelchair. Near apartments all infrastructure: caffe, shop, road to Dahar also near. So, highly recommend you to stay here with this host!

  Hani the host was very accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was big and well equipped to self cater. The lical mini-marts were good value and well stocked. Although we didn't use them, there were swimming pools and it was only a short walk from a free beach. The reception was staffed 24/7 and all the staff were friendly. Sea views from the balcony were really nice.
  
  What could be improved: It was located further from the centre of Hurghada than we realised so you will need to get cabs. There may also be a surcharge for day trip hotel pick-ups.
