Hotel Description

You know what really struck me about Zahabia Golden Beach Resort when I first rolled up? It’s actually right in the heart of Hurghada city, which honestly surprised me – most beach resorts here are tucked away in those sprawling hotel zones where you need a taxi just to grab a decent shawarma. But this place sits where the action is, and I mean that in the best way possible.

The whole setup feels like they figured out that sweet spot between resort comfort and being part of the actual city. You can literally walk out the front door and hit up the local souks (the vendors know their stuff here, way better prices than the tourist traps), or grab a coffee at one of those tiny Egyptian cafés where the locals play backgammon until 2 AM. The beach itself – well, it’s proper Red Sea coastline, that impossibly blue water that looks fake in photos but somehow looks even better in person. I spent way too many mornings just sitting there with Egyptian tea watching the dive boats head out to the coral reefs. The sand gets pretty warm by noon though, fair warning.

What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to know Hurghada inside and out. The guy at reception (I think his name was Ahmed? There are a lot of Ahmeds) gave me directions to this incredible seafood place about ten minutes walk away that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms are solid 4-star territory – nothing fancy, but the AC works like a dream (crucial in Egypt, trust me), and you can hear the Red Sea from most of the rooms, which beats traffic noise any day. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too, none of that “your room isn’t ready until 4 PM” nonsense. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the coast, but everything just… works. And honestly, being able to walk to actual Egyptian restaurants and shops instead of being stuck in resort bubble land? That’s worth its weight in gold. If you want to experience Hurghada rather than just hide from it, this is your spot.

  The host was incredibly kind and flexible — truly exceptional!
  They went above and beyond to meet all our special requests, including organizing both early check-in and check-out, even though it wasn’t expected at all.
  The area is great, very safe, and the apartment is located in a secure gated resort. Nearby you’ll find shops, cafés and great restaurants within walking distance.
  The resort’s private beach was also a fantastic bonus.

  It was avery good stay, everything new , new building, new sweet, new furnished, I really liked everything ,Huge pool, very lovely Sandy beach with fantastic reefs, very nice and helpful staff, Hannibal the host was very helpful and so friendly(Thanks Hannibal)

  The pool area is nice enough. The rooms are spacious and reasonable value.
  
  What could be improved: Wouldn't rely on them for a transfer from the airport – was an hour delayed, with poor comms – apparently due to a break down. The rooms are light on furnishings such as lamps (just bright over head ones, even in bedrooms). There was also some broken furniture in the room, which they were aware of – we suggested they move it – the response was "where should i put it?" erm… i dont know!

  What could be improved: Il s'agit d'un appartement géré par un privé dans une résidence et non pas un hôtel. Or l'annonce ne précise pas cela.
  A l'arrivée a la réception le personnel ne parlait pas anglais correctement et n'ont pas été d'une grande assistance

  La zona de la piscina es bonita y la música del bar es agradable en tipo y volumen
  
  What could be improved: Está como sin terminar, las escaleras/pasillo sin luz. Las habitaciones son de calidad más baja de lo esperado. Estaba todo lleno como de polvo de la obra o desierto. El precio que pagamos fue muy elevado porque era el fin del ramadán. La playa la cierran a las 5:30 pm
